Runway building block

LERA designed a runway building block set for an 8 years old boy, who is an aircraft/airport lover, and a dream to be a pilot. The goal is to design an interactive object that develops his creativity, cultivate the interests and having a sense of satisfaction. During the process of connecting the repetitive elements together, and build up a dream airport runway, children are encouraged to study and image their own airport runway structure. By setting the runway

and LED light string on a frame-like display board, then covered by a piece of plexiglass, it allows children hanging their work on the wall with the light on. 

 

Baltic Birch Plywood will be the primary component of the design, and LED String light (RGB with Remote) will be the secondary components in the design.  It is not only safety, sustainable runway structure building blocks but also a light decoration in the room.
