Parallel Current

Individual Work, 2024

Parallel Current is a hanging installation that explores the coexistence of multiple futures and shifting traditions. Inspired by woven rattan trays used in tea harvesting, I hand-wove each layer, emphasizing labor, patience, and cultural transformation. The intricate hand-drawn details simulate the accumulation of time and history, reflecting how traditions are both inherited and reshaped. Light and reflections interact with the structure, making the work dynamic: never fixed, like evolving memories.  This piece envisions culture as an ever-changing force, continuously unraveling and reforming across generations.
