We are drawn to balance that is simple and asymmetrical balanced. With fewer formal and more organic features, the area feels more dynamic and vibrant.

SUMMARY

Different from the usual "cottage type farmhouse," designing a home for the Shaker families to match their hunter forager and self-sustaining lifestyle. They enjoy winding down their busy days by gathering in the living room in front of the fireplace.

They have asked for the design to express their lifestyle and mutual value in their love and respect for the land and wildlife. They desire clean, pleasant, natural finishes with sustainable materials.
